The issue of whether killing is ever justified: well, Terry Boot is an example, I suppose, but I hardly feel I have the right to discuss Terry's case with him. And that last bit, the question of whether things can be changed from within...I confess it was a question that kept me quite wakeful last night. What am I doing helping prop up this dreadful regime? I think of what I preach to my children, and contrast that with the awful things I must do at work every day...
I suppose there is no shame greater than failing to live up to our children's expectations.
